MySQL Ready for Enterprise Database Reliability Open-source database software maker MySQL AB plans to unveil next month an
enterprise-level capability that automatically shifts workloads to another

Database Templates with MySQL Once you've built several MySQL databases, you'll learn some shortcuts to
database design.
Many databases are very similar. When creating new databases, developers
often build the same basic tables with only slightly different names and
some adjustments to columns. Rather than starting from scratch when putting
together a new database, developers will sometimes copy tables from an
existing database, give them new names, and then make modifications. This
can be a big timesaver.

The software, MySQL Cluster, is based on software called NDB Cluster that
telecommunications equipment maker Ericsson developed, and then sold to
MySQL in October. MySQL plans to announce the new version at its user
conference from April 14 to 16, said Zack Urlocker, vice president of
marketing for the Swedish company.

voice/data traffic coordinator, at Matanuska Telephone, an independent telco
in Alaska.

While teaching a SQL Server programming course, I noticed that the Microsoft
material presented a lock compatibility table. The same table is presented
at MSDN.
